HOW TO BECOME A LICENSED DRIVER

TO JOIN OUR TEAM YOU NEED:
  • A Private Hire Driver Licence (South Cambridgeshire or West Suffolk Council)
  • Two documents as proof of identity
  • Your own vehicle licensed by South Cambridgeshire or West Suffolk Council

Dash driver jobs are completely flexible. Work the hours that suit you best. There are periods during the week where we are busier & encourage drivers to work in these hours to maximise their earnings. During the week, we are particularly busy during the early morning and evening periods and at weekends we are very busy later in the evening.

Yes you will need to provide your own vehicle as we currently have no vehicles for rent.

Customers pay for their journeys in two ways, so there are two ways we pay you. Simple.
Account transactions
Account customers pay us directly via their accounts. We’ll add this money up and pay it into your bank each month.
Non Account transactions
For cash jobs, the money is paid directly to drivers and for card jobs we ask all drivers to have their own terminal in their vehicle to speed up the payout process.

You will need to provide us with your driving licence (photocard licence), your council driver license (both parts) and 2 forms of identification clearly showing your current address. If you do not currently have these docuemnts in place, we can provide advice on the driver license process, please contact us by filling out a form on the contact us page.

Above all, we look for enthusiasm and reliability in drivers. Experience with private hire driver jobs is not necessary as we encourage new drivers in the industry to join Dash and we will provide industry leading training. You will need to apply for your driver and vehicle licence via West Suffolk or South Cambridgeshire District Council.

Yes. All Dash drivers are self-employed and responsible for their own tax and national insurance.
